Intranet

Q. How do I access the Intranet?

A. Intranet access requires two things:
    1. You must be on the EuCARD members list
    2. You must have a CERN external account or a CERN NICE account.
For more details see the How to access the Intranet web page.

Q. How do I get a CERN external account?

A. If you do not already have a CERN NICE account, then you need a CERN external account to access the Intranet. Visit the CERN accounts page and click on the top link to go to the external accounts page. Once you have completed the online registration form, you will receive an email to validate your account and set a password. You can then use your email address and the password that you have created to access the Intranet. The whole process should take just a few minutes.
For more details see the How to access the Intranet web page.

Q. How do I get my name added to the EuCARD members list?

A. If you are not on an EuCARD mailing list, you will not gain access to the Intranet. To be added to a mailing list please contact your work package coordinator directly, who will add you to the contact list of their work package. If you need help to identify your work package coordinator, please contact us.
For more details see the How to access the Intranet web page.

Publications

Q. Where can I find the EuCARD logo?

A. The project logo is available to EuCARD members via the Intranet Picture Library (linked from the left-hand menu of the Intranet). If you have any queries, please contact the EuCARD editor.

Q. What templates exist?

A. The templates that currently exist include deliverable reports, interim activity reports and interim resource utilisation summary reports. They are available via the Templates link on the left-hand menu of the Intranet.

Q. What acknowledgement text do I need to add to my scientific publication?

A. It is important to acknowledge the EuCARD project in your publications. You can choose between a long or short option for this text:

Option 1: "The research leading to these results has received funding from the European Commission under the FP7 Research Infrastructures project EuCARD, grant agreement no.227579"

Option 2: "Research supported by FP7 EuCARD http://cern.ch/eucard"

Q. I've written a scientific publication, where do I put it?

A. Scientific publications relating to EuCARD should be submitted to the publication database, linked from the Quick Links section of the EuCARD homepage. This applies to presentations, scientific reports, journal publications, books, notes, conference papers and academic dissertations.

To submit a document to the database you must log in, and then click the "Submit" button to complete the submission form. Submitted pdfs receive an automatically generated EuCARD front page, and in addition notification emails are automatically sent to the relevant task leader and work package leader(s). If you have any queries concerning the publication database, please contact EuCARD-Info.

Note that deliverable reports and interim activity reports should be added to the document repository instead of the publication database.

Q. I'm interested in writing a monograph booklet, where can I find information?

A. Information for potential authors is available on the Booklets web page. If you have additional queries, please contact the EuCARD editor.
